Changelog

Changes to the Vanity Analysis research engine and platform, newest first.

  1. New pricing, and example reports for each package

    Platform
    • Strategy Analysis is now $9 and Premium Strategy Research is now $19. What each package includes is unchanged.
    • Each package on the pricing section now links to example reports: two complete reports produced by the engine, one with a statistical edge and one without, shown exactly as a customer of that package receives them.
    • The status page now runs live checks against the production systems each time it is opened.
  2. Guidance for the simulator

    Improvement
    • The Simulator step of a new analysis now explains how the starting balance and risk per trade are used, with a suggested starting point for anyone unsure what to enter.
  3. Homepage rewritten around how the product works

    Improvement
    • The features section, the research-process walkthrough and the FAQ now describe the product as it works today, including how markets are tested and simulated.
  4. Strategy fidelity and risk assessment

    Research
    • Strategies described as long-only or short-only now trade only in the direction described.
    • Stops and targets written against a session's range can now be placed exactly as described.
    • Intraday session shape is measured from more than 2,500 NQ trading sessions at each intraday resolution.
    • Monte Carlo projections now run 2,000 forward paths.
    • The risk profile is assessed from drawdown depth and persistence, volatility, risk of ruin and loss streaks — independently of whether the strategy was profitable.
  5. Receipts, search and the Research Program

    Platform
    • Purchases on the billing page can be downloaded as PDF receipts.
    • Page titles, descriptions, sitemap, robots rules and site icons were brought up to date for search engines.
    • The Research Program page now sets out the methodology in full: what is measured, how markets are generated, and what the research can and cannot tell you.
  6. Product demo

    Improvement
    • A walkthrough video of the product is linked from the homepage and the navigation bar.
  7. Purchase acknowledgment at checkout

    Platform
    • Checkout records the customer's request for immediate access to the research and their acknowledgment of the withdrawal terms, tied to the payment it concerns.
  8. Password reset

    Platform
    • Accounts can reset a forgotten password from an emailed link. Links are single-use and short-lived, and a reset signs the account out of every existing session.
  9. Research Program, legal and documentation pages

    Improvement
    • The Research Program page, the legal pages and the documentation were rewritten, along with the homepage section titles.
  10. Report exports and account settings

    Improvement
    • Reports download as PDF, and Premium trade histories export to CSV.
    • A settings page for profile details and passwords was added to the dashboard.
  11. Stop placement honoured

    Fix
    • The stop entered on the analysis form is always the stop the simulation uses, and more ways of describing a stop are recognised.
  12. Production database

    Platform
    • Accounts, credits, payments and reports moved to PostgreSQL, with the full customer journey — sign-up, purchase, analysis, report — verified end to end.
  13. Accounts, credits and payments

    Platform
    • Real accounts with server-held credits and stored reports.
    • Card payments through Stripe, with a clear message when a payment fails.
  14. Forward Monte Carlo

    Research
    • Monte Carlo analysis now projects forward from a strategy's own realised trades, rather than reshuffling the tested period.
    • Stops stated in a trader's own words are read and priced.
  15. Analysis periods and stored reports

    Research
    • The analysis period is bounded by what can be simulated, and the loading screen reports the work actually being done.
    • Finished reports are stored, so reopening one no longer re-runs the simulation.
    • Opening-range strategies are anchored to the session they belong to.
  16. Era-conditioned simulation

    Research
    • Each simulated year is drawn from the measured behaviour of the era it represents.
    • The simulation covers exactly the period requested, and the configuration is confirmed before an analysis is submitted.
    • Comprehension issues found through adversarial testing were fixed, including negated phrasing.
  17. Sequenced execution engine

    Research
    • The engine was rebuilt to execute multi-step setups in the order they are described, and to test each strategy across an ensemble of independently generated markets.
  18. Market-path execution

    Research
    • Strategies are executed bar by bar against generated market paths, replacing the earlier outcome-based simulator.
    • ES added as a measured market.
    • ICT and Smart Money concepts are understood and executed.
  19. First release

    Platform
    • The public site, sign-in and the research dashboard.
